You Can Now Buy Hemp-Infused Coffee From Willie Nelson

You can now enjoy Willie Nelson-approved coffee with your breakfast. The country legend has officially launched his Willie's Remedy Whole Bean Coffee, which is infused with CBD oil sourced from Colorado. The coffee beans come from smallholder farms in Colombia.

CBD is a cannabinoid found in cannabis plants. The oil is non-intoxicating and the coffee doesn't include THC, the compound that causes a high. An eight-ounce cup of coffee includes 5 mg of CBD.

"It's two of my favorites, together in the perfect combination," Nelson said in a press release. "Like coffee, cannabis is a plant that works for me."

The product was created by Nelson's wife Annie.

Willie's Remedy utilizes American-grown hemp, continuing Nelson's long-running support of  American family farms and local economies.

"Hemp production was suppressed in America because hemp was competitive to too many industries. The country probably missed some opportunity during hemp prohibition," Nelson said in a press release. "But another way to look at it is that hemp is the answer to huge range of challenges we're facing right now. Allowing commercial hemp farming will create jobs for the farmers."

The Willie's Remedy cannabis brand was launched in 2015.

You can now purchase Willie's Remedy Whole Bean Coffee for $36 a bag.
