Willie Nelson has been tapped to help celebrate the 35th anniversary of Billy Bob Texas, one of the world's most beloved honky tonks.
On Nov. 12, the country legend will hold a special performane at the Fort Worth venue. According to the Star-Telegram, the event will feature live music, Texas cuisine, line dance lessons and special activities for children.
The event will mark Nelson's 54th (yes, really) career appearance at the famed venue. With so many performances under his belt, it's no surprise that Nelson was the first choice for the show.
"Over the past 35 years, I sort of grew up watching Willie play at Billy Bob's," Concho Minick, president of Billy Bob's Texas, said in a statement. "He is inseparable from the history here. In terms of country music, it has always been Willie for me, so it's the biggest honor to have him back again, especially on this occasion."
More details on this history-making concert will be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets are currently on sale for the concert, but they probably won't last long. Reserved seating ranges from $60 to $100, while general admission entry is available for only $20.
