If you've ever thought, "I'd really love to work at Williams-Sonoma, but I'd also really like a work from home job," here's your chance. Williams-Sonoma remote jobs are actually a thing; the company is hiring seasonal customer service associates to work from their homes.
The Williams-Sonoma remote jobs are part of their holiday season staff up; according to Delish, the company is hiring around 3,500 seasonal customer service employees, with about 200 full-time remote workers being brought on every week. The position pays $12 and hour and you'll work between 30 and 50 hours a week with paid training and access to perks like rewards and an employee recognition program. Oh, and you get an employee discount of 40 percent off most merchandise.
Williams-Sonoma, Inc., which is headquartered in San Francisco, has this job description on their Customer Care Center jobs listings page:
"Engaging with customers by phone, e-mail and live chat, Customer Care Center associates deliver world-class service every day and serve as a critical link between our customer and our product. Customer Care Center associates have strong communication skills, a thirst for knowledge about our brands and a passion for the retail industry. If you are enthusiastic about helping customers create their dream homes, providing everything from advice on color palettes and price points to suggestions on product use and care, check out the jobs listed here."
The work from home positions handle all inbound calls from customers for all the Williams-Sonoma, Inc. brands, including Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Teen, Pottery Barn Kids, Williams-Sonoma, West Elm, and Mark & Graham. All you need is a computer with a good high-speed internet connection, a compatible headset, and a web camera for live virtual discussions.
The company requires job seekers to be comfortable using technology, have good communication skills, and have a high school diploma or GED. If you have a year or two of customer service experience, that's even better.
There's one catch to the remote part of Williams-Sonoma remote jobs: You do need to be located within 90 minutes of one of the customer care centers. While most of the training takes place online, the company does require some in-house meetings and training so you'll need to live close enough to participate in those events.
Right now, the company is advertising remote work job openings in the Dallas, Oklahoma City, Phoenix, Atlanta, and Columbus, Ohio, regions.
