Singer-songwriter William Clark Green is the latest artist to stop by Bruce Robison's The Next Waltz, a web series and multiplatform music delivery concept operated out of Robison's analog studio in Lockhart, Texas.
For his session, the Flint, Texas native performed "The One I Was Then," a tender, reflective look at a past relationship and hard-won changes.
Green says working with Robison is a personal and career milestone.
"Since I've been a fan of Bruce since high school, it was a bucket list opportunity," Green tells Wide Open Country. "He also said my song was great. Coming from Bruce, that's one of the biggest compliments I have got in my career."
Watch his performance of "The One I Was Then" below.
The Next Waltz has featured Jerry Jeff Walker, Lee Ann Womack, Turnpike Troubadours, Charley Crockett, Kelly Willis and more.
