I'm all for a party, but at this Spring Break rager, more than 60 college students were arrested. Let's figure out why together, shall we?

Wildest Party Of The Year?
Ah, leave it to UC Santa Barbara to make the headlines for partying just a little too hard. This year, the students of Santa Barbara kicked off the spring semester as they always do. By seeing how much alcohol the human body can consume in the span of a weekend.
This year students of all shapes and sizes took to the streets and simply caused chaos. By noon on the first day of the weekend there were already 19 people receiving medical treatment per the Daily Mail. Now those are some impressive numbers. I always thought you couldn't get alcohol poisoning until the afternoon!
The Santa Barbara police tried to anticipate the unrest, but honestly, there's no way to anticipate the moves of drunk college kids.
More Than 60 Students Arrested
The arrests started coming in by 9:20 am the Santa Barbara Police noted. The first two (un)lucky charges were "obstruction and contributing alcohol to a minor."
At 10:54 am, the cops made their craziest arrest of the day. They reported that "a suspect who was on his way to Deltopia was arrested for possession of a loaded firearm." Why anyone would allegedly need to bring a loaded firearm to Deltopia is beyond me. The last thing I would want near me as a drunk college student is a drunk college student waving around a loaded weapon.
The day was still hours away from sundown when police reported that "over 60 arrests" had been made. In fact, it was only 3:30 pm when that report was made. The sun wasn't even sniffing the trees yet.
And that was before the second day of the weekend had even started. This weekend was already a record-breaking one for Deltopia, and the numbers are only going to increase from here. Only 32 participants were arrested last year. They almost doubled that on Saturday alone. Not to mention the 256 citations that have already been issued.
Good luck to any other weekend warriors out there!
