They say that art imitates life. However, this next story will prove that for Vince Vaughn, the opposite is true.

Hopefully, you are familiar with the raunchy 2005 comedy Wedding Crashers. In the film, Vaughn plays Jeremy Grey and Owen Wilson plays John Beckwith, two divorce mediators who seduce women they meet by sneaking into the weddings of complete strangers.
In 2024, Vaughn actually "crashed" a real wedding at our nation's capital. We have the hilarious details below.
So, Was Vince Vaughn Cool?
Ali Waldman and Evan Eshelman said "I do" at the InterContinental at The Wharf in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 2, 2024. As PEOPLE reports, Vaughn saw the newlyweds in the lobby and surprised them.
"We were downstairs in the hotel lobby taking portraits of the bride and groom when Vince Vaughn approached us and congratulated the couple," said Venessa Ramirez, the wedding photographer. "At first, we didn't immediately realize who he was, and then it clicked. It was such a fun and unexpected moment. He was so casual and cool."
The photographer said the moment was a "highlight of the evening." She asked the actor if he would take a picture with the couple.
Ramirez said, "The interaction was brief, just a few minutes, but he was warm, friendly, and made the moment feel really special."
Tell Us About the Picture
In the picture. Vaughn stands between Waldman and Eshelman. The couple was still in their wedding attire and holding cocktails. Vaughn, looking a little stunned, was sporting an all-access pass to Collective Soul. He was likely in town to see "The World I Know" band perform at The Anthem earlier that night.
The moment is the perfect example of life imitating art. Wedding Crashers is certainly a favorite film of ours. Not only do you get to see Vaughn and Wilson riff off each other for two hours, but the film also features a cameo by singer-songwriter Dwight Yoakam.
In the scene, the "Streets of Bakersfield" singer plays Mr. Kroeger. He is working out the terms of his divorce with his soon-to-be ex, played by Rebecca De Mornay. Thankfully, Vaughn and Wilson humorously de-escalate the situation. Check it out below.
