It appears that it isn't just the US that is being stricken by plane crashes. Now, Canada has had its own disaster as a Delta passenger plane flipped on the runway, injuring 18.

As the Delta Airlines plane came to land at Toronto Pearson Airport something went wrong, and it flipped onto its roof. Amazingly, nobody was killed, and only several people were injured. Despite the evacuation of the plane happening as it burned, everyone got away safely.
The landing was rough, according to one passenger on board who spoke to CBS News. "All of a sudden everything just kind of went sideways and then next thing I know it's kind of a blink and I'm upside down still strapped in," he said.
The passenger speaks about the aftermath. He said "I was upside down, the lady next to me was upside down. Then, I just let myself go to hit the ceiling." After that, he reveals, they all evacuated the flipped Delta plane onto the snowy runway.
Within minutes, the doors were opened on the plane, and the passengers on the Delta Airlines aircraft were on the tarmac. The whole affair was surely terrifying for the passengers. However, the footage shows people calmly leaving via the doors as the plane burns.
Investigations Underway For Flipped Delta Airlines Plane
What caused the passenger plane to flip as it came to land is still unclear. There were some high winds, but nothing particularly hazardous. There is a full investigation into how the passenger plane could have ended upside down after a routine landing.
On landing, the wing snapped off, which is possibly why the whole Delta Airlines plane rolled onto its roof. It is unusual for a plane to end upside down, even after a crash. John Cox, CEO of Safety Operating Systems said, "Those are going to be central questions as to what happened to the wing and the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder. They will be found, if not today, tomorrow, and the Transportation Safety Board of Canada will read them out and they will have a very good understanding of what actually occurred here."
