"We're told paramedics were called to Robby and Lynn's Beverly Hills home just before noon for a possible cardiac arrest, but Lynn was already dead when fire and police personnel arrived," TMZ reports. "Law enforcement also received a call for a natural death. Her official cause of death is not known at this time."
Lynn met Robby and the rest of his bandmates in 1967, per TMZ. She'd been attending a nightclub in New York City at the time. Initially, Lynn dated Robby's bandmate, Jim Morrison. She got with Robby in 1968. The couple married in 1972, five years after their first meeting. They had one child together, a son named Waylon.
Currently, no information regarding Lynn's impending funeral has been made public. Those details will likely remain private, reserved for family and close friends.
Fans Pay Tribute to Lynn Krieger on Social Media
Shortly after the news of Lynn's death became public, fans began to share their condolences online.
"Very sorry to hear this and my condolences to Lynn & Robbie's immediate family, close friends and their loved ones. RIP Lynn and genuine loving prayers to you Robbie!" one fan wrote on X.
"That's so sad, Robby's [sic] been a legend for decades and losing your person like that hits different," another wrote.
"This sucks to hear. God rest her soul," a user wrote on X.
Notably, there hasn't been an update regarding Lynn's passing on The Doors' social media profile on X at the time of writing. The band's page had previously posted about her wedding anniversary with Robby, but nothing has been uploaded in the way of a tribute.
Perhaps the group is allowing Robby to grieve in private. Or, maybe they don't feel that a tribute post is necessary. Either way, the lack of acknowledgment stands out when doing a quick search for Lynn on social media. Still, everybody grieves in their own way, so there is no judgment over here.
Robby will undoubtedly need time to process such a significant loss. Hopefully, he has the support system he will undoubtedly need.
