After her brutal murder, police have been on a month-long manhunt for the wife of the late fire captain. While it took time and dedication, her wife (and murderer) have finally been found. Now, Yolanda Olenjniczak has been taken into custody.

Wife Of Late Fire Chief Murdered Her Wife
Just over a month ago police received a call about an assault with a deadly weapon. When they arrived to the scene they found the then fire captain, Rebecca Marodi, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Although they tried to save her, she passed from her injuries.
Initially, police believed that the assailant had been a stranger. However, after closer investigation they learned that it was not a stranger. Not only that, but it turns out the murderer was her very own wife. The couple's home security cameras caught the horrific act as it unfolded.
The footage showed Olenjniczak chasing Marodi around their patio. Additionally, Daily Mail shared the audio from the video. In it, Marodi is heard pleading, "Yolanda! Please... I don't want to die." To which Olenjniczak replied, "You should have thought about that before."
Later, the footage "showed her standing over Marodi with a knife in her right hand and blood visible on her arms." Afterward, Olenjniczak was seen collecting her belongings and pets as she fled the scene in a silver Chevrolet Equinox. So began the manhunt that eventually lead to the wife of the fire captain being arrested.
A Disturbing Pattern
Besides the condemning footage, police also discovered a disturbing pattern. As it turns out, this incident was not the first spot of violence on Olenjniczak's record. Daily Mail shares that she was "convicted of voluntary manslaughter" back in 2004 as well. This was because she fatally stabbed her then husband as well.
Although she served 11 years in prison for that crime, her recent actions seem to suggest she did not learn her lesson. So, what sparked this second violent outburst? An associate of Olenjniczak came forward with more condemning evidence.
Apparently, Olenjniczak had texted this associate, apologizing for her violent outburst. The message read, "Becky came home and told me she was leaving me. She met someone else... We had a big fight, and I hurt her... I'm sorry." All of this was definitely enough for police to set out on their manhunt for her.
Wife Of Late Fire Chief Arrested Following Manhunt
While it took a long time, the police finally found her. She was located in Mexico. Then, the wife of the late fire captain was arrested and taken into custody while still wearing her pajamas. She was identified when she was loitering in the vicinity of the hotel. Once she was identified, she was detained.
Then, her identify was confirmed and she was handed over to the United States authorities.
