"My wife in here, and she not even texting me," Ivey said at the time.

However, Caitlyn has started fighting her corner. She shared two stories on her Instagram page, noting that she hasn't abandoned Ivey, despite his controversial exit from the Bulls.

"We were communicating all morning of that day," she wrote. "People say things for attention, do not be deceived."

In a separate story, Caitlyn explained that Ivey's situation goes deeper than what people have seen on social media. Therefore, the would prefer if people avoided speculating regarding their relationship and Ivey's current struggles.

"If you know me you know I have never once abandoned that man through all the trials.. and I still haven't now," she wrote. "There is obviously a lot more going on, so leave your conspiracies and guesses to yourselves."

Ivey was waived by the Bulls on Monday, March 30, after calling out the NBA for celebrating Pride Night.

"The world can proclaim LGBTQ, right?" Ivey said via Instagram live. "They proclaim Pride Month and the NBA, they proclaim it, they show it to the world. And, they say, 'Come join us for Pride Month to celebrate unrighteousness.' They proclaim it." Ivey said via an Instagram live at the time.

Jaden Ivey's Career So Far

Ivey was drafted by the Detroit Pistons with the fifth overall pick in 2022. He immediately looked like a future star, blending explosiveness, speed and skill. Ivet spent three and a half seasons with Detroit before ultimately being traded to the Bulls in February 2026, at the trade deadline.

The explosive guard has suited up for 218 regular-season NBA games, averaging 14.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4 assists per night. Unfortunately, Ivey broke his leg on Jan. 1, 2025, and is yet to reach the same heights we saw from him before the injury.

Right now, Ivey is clearly working through some stuff. Hopefully, he gets the help he needs and can find his way back to the NBA when the time is right for him and his family.
