On Tuesday, April 7, his widow, Adrienne Jones-McAllister, "filed a lawsuit against Nassau Open MRI." She is claiming that they were negligent. Her husband was allegedly not told to take off his chain prior to being in the room with the MRI. The incident took place on July 16, 2025, in Westbury, Long Island.

McAllister's Widow Claims Physical and Mental Suffering Since Her Husband Died

Per the outlet, Jones-McAllister's complaint alleges that the 61-year-old woman has endured "severe and serious personal psychological and emotional injuries" due to Keith McAllister's death. Additionally, Jones-McAllister allegedly has "permanent effects of pain, disability, disfigurement, and loss of bodily function."

Furthermore, her lawsuit claims that she saw the "injuries and suffering and eventual death" of husband Keith McAllister.

The lawsuit also names other entities including Sun Enterprises, GM Partners Westbury LLC, and East Coast Radiology, PC. All are connected with the facility where the fatal incident occurred.

What Happened to Keith McAllister?

According to the Post, Jones-McAllister was at the facility that day to undergo an MRI. She alleges that she and a technician were attempting to rescue McAllister from the MRI machine for nearly an hour. They finally did so, but he had several heart attacks because of what happened. McAllister was brought to a hospital in critical condition. He tragically succumbed to his injuries.

Per News 12 Long Island, Jones-McAllister evidently needed assistance getting off the table after her MRI. She reportedly requested that the technician get her husband to help her. She claims that because of the large metal chain he was wearing, he was "snatch[ed]" into the MRI due to its extremely strong magnetic field.

Jones-McAllister said, "He went limp in my arms, and this is still pulsating in my brain." She also said that Keith McAllister had been at the facility on a previous occasion and the technician was aware of his chain. Nevertheless, he was allegedly not advised to remove it when he entered the room with the MRI.
