Just a few weeks ago, Megan Moroney started teasing the music video for her song, "Wish I Didn't". Right away, fans picked up on some clues that might back up the Green theory.
In a teaser trailer posted to Instagram, Moroney wears reflective shades. The lyric "But I can also make it rain" plays in the background just as she puts them on. Fans think this is a reference to an instance in early 2025 when Riley Green posted a selfie with shades on, and Moroney was thought to be the girl in his reflection. Shortly after the photo was posted, Green deleted the picture from his story. It was later replaced with an edited picture that takes the "mystery girl" out of his shades.
It's also worth noting that Green released a song called "Make it Rain" in August 2025.
Sources Claim Moroney and Green's Fling Wasn't "Too Serious"
Besides the obvious details, Megan Moroney also refers to the man in the song as having "a reputation" and "a graveyard" of girls. In recent years, Green has been rumored to have flings with Ella Langley, his "You Look Like You Love Me" duet partner, and a few others, including Bryanna Ferringer, who he took to the 2025 CMA Awards. Recently, a source shared that the Megan and Riley fling actually was more than just a rumor. However, it wasn't as serious as fans might think.
A source told US Weekly that "Megan and Riley were seeing each other for about three months last summer," and that "neither of them wanted anything too serious."
The insider also shares that, while the rumors might have had some truth to them, Moroney really is too busy to be dating anyone at the moment. "She works her tail off, and that's what she's focused on," they shared.
