White House Releases Bizarre Aliens Website That Has to Be Seen to Be Believed

The White House has released a bizarre website entitled "Aliens", and it's got the whole Internet super confused.

Are aliens real? Well, although the government ended up declassifying a number of files regarding UFOs recently, that question is still up for debate.

But the White House used all that hubbub about aliens to make a pretty bold statement - and it's not what you expect.

A bizarre social media campaign popped up on May 28. A post on X shows what appears to be a UFO carrying a man up and over a wall. The post is cryptic but short: "They walk among us. ALIENS.GOV"

Pretty scary stuff, no? The website is even more wild. Black stars in the back ground, lit up green text that reads "ALIENS - DECLASSIFIED. THEY WALK AMONG US."

And they appear to make an insane revelation. "Aliens have been walking among us, living in our neighborhoods, and interacting with us in our daily lives. They've shopped in the same stores, attended the same classes as our children, and lived seemingly normal human existences."

At first glance, anyone could believe they were making a revelation here about extraterrestrial beings. But that's not the case.

In fact, who they're referring to very much so are terrestrial. "Aliens" has two meanings, both which refer to people that are not from where we are. And that can mean both extraterrestrials, and, well, as Constitutional law puts it, "illegal aliens"

Social Media Has Had Mixed Reactions to the Aliens Website

Of course, given the sensitive nature of this topic, there's been some mixed reactions about this whole debacle. Some were critical of the campaign, with one user saying the unserious nature of the campaign made things look like a "circus".

However, some people acknowledged the humorous side of the whole thing. "I gotta admit aliens.gov is one of the funniest uses of taxpayer dollars I've seen in a while," one commentor wrote. Another posted a GIF of Willem Defoe saying "You can't do this to me" with the caption, "UFO Believers [when they] find out what this really is:".

Others seemed to be quite upset that it wasn't actually referring to extraterrestrials. "They just made fun of everyone who believed UFO/extraterrestrial, i was a believer but i think now it's a psyop."

Others seemed to make reference to E.T. Yes, the iconic extraterrestrial himself. Someone even posted an edited photo from the iconic bike ride scene with Marco Rubio's face plastered over the boy.
