Each day, Twitter user @_emcarr's grandfather, Mr. Johnson, visits the burger chain's El Paso location for breakfast. According to her tweets, he started his daily visits shortly after his wife passed away.
It seems like he's made some good friends at the store, because they had a secret plan for when Mr. Johnson's birthday rolled around. Employees brought in balloons and an orange and birthday cake that read, "Happy Birthday Mr. Johnson, Customer #1, Whataburger."

Mr. Johnson is pictured with his cake and staff grinning ear to ear. It was an incredibly cute and thoughtful gift from the staff. The restaurants' main Twitter account also responded with well wishes.
We hope he had a great birthday!

Likewise, Twitter at large responded with pleasantries and humor:
Whataburger is already the best. No argument. Case closed. But this... dare I say... takes the cake. https://t.co/qvxZq2Pf0f

This is just the latest impressive act of customer service from the Texa-based burger chain. Earlier this month, a San Antonio location had a special birthday party for a young boy with autism.
The restaurant is also giving away three pairs of custom-designed sneakers to a few lucky customers. You can find out more about the contest here.
