The Edmond, Oklahoma, site of the popular casual dining spot is putting the massive, meaty meal on the menu for a limited time, per Dexerto. It boasts nine - yes, nine! - juicy beef patties. That is not all, however.

There are also "nine slices of cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion, ketchup, and mayonnaise stacked between two buns," per the outlet. For $29.99, the towering treat is yours, plus a beverage to wash it down, along with french fries in case you are still hungry. And you can add to your wardrobe, too. Wendy's will toss in a "I Survived the T-Rex Burger" t-shirt for the intrepid eaters who tackle it.

The T-Rex Burger Has a Tasty History
This burger bonanza has an interesting backstory of its own. Per the outlet, a bogus ad for it ran in Sports Illustrated years ago. People were so intrigued that they tried to purchase the imaginary meal. A Wendy's in Manitoba, Canada, actually began serving the T-Rex burger. The price was $21.99 CAD (Canadian dollars) then. It caught on, but then the corporate office of the chain halted its sale on health-related grounds.
Per thetravel.com, the restaurant's higher-ups reportedly told the Manitoba location to stop serving the gigantic meal thirteen years ago. "'For obvious reasons, Wendy's of Brandon neither condones nor promotes the idea of anyone consuming a nine-patty hamburger in one sitting,' said Barb Barker, an administrative assistant for the franchise in 2013."

Per the outlet, this staggeringly sublime snack has plenty of everything, including things that aren't too healthy in huge amounts. The original T-Rex was reportedly loaded with 3,000 calories, 6,000 mg of sodium, and 200 grams of fat. (Values are approximate.)
