After Elon Musk decided to throw out a salute associated with a very particular political group, many people have spoken out about it. Now, one weather reporter has been fired over condemning his fascist adjacent arm-waving.

Despite interpretation being up to whoever decides to interpret, it appears voicing them about Elon Musk's salute is a fireable offense. Sam Kuffel, of CBS 58, took to social media to highlight her disgust at the billionaire's gesture. Like millions of others around the world, she was shocked and alarmed by the deeply questionable salute to the crowd and flag at Trump's inauguration.
The salute, which is hard to see as anything but what it was, inspired her to post a few stories about the event. Among a few things, she posted "You f-k with this and this man, I don't f-k with you. Full stop."
However, CBS 58 isn't a fan of letting their employees speak their minds. As a result, they fired the weather reporter for her opinions. They don't want to upset the wrong billionaire.
A memo from CBS 58 to staffers was uncovered by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. It states that "Meteorologist Sam Kuffel is no longer employed at CBS58. A search for a replacement is underway." It has been confirmed that she is now out of a job.
Fired Weather Reporter Not Alone In Her Concern
Although many have attempted to downplay the fascist salute adopted by billionaire Elon Musk, nobody is fooled by the attempt to smooth it all over. Many are already pointing out the concerning correlations between Musk, and the the man who made that salute famous.
Recently, Elon Musk started sticking his oar into European Politics. He has recently raised concern by endorsing the far-right German political group, Alternative for Germany, or AfD. He has also campaigned for the release of far-right agitator Tommy Robinson in the UK. Furthermore, he said UK right-wing leader Nigel Farage "Doesn't have what it takes."
The fired weather reporter isn't alone in her concern over what exactly Elon Musk's salute was intended to mean. Despite many trying to dismiss it as just a weird man being weird, the implications are clear to anyone with a brain to see them.
She has sadly lost her job for speaking her mind. It appears the ideas of free speech are slowly slipping away. Instead, it's being replaced by the will of the ultra-rich.
