Watermelon Lime Moonshine
What cures the summertime blues? Watermelon Lime Moonshine that brings together tart and sweet in perfect harmony in this moonshine recipe.
Ingredients
Lime Simple Syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup lime juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
Watermelon Lime Moonshine
- 750 ML Everclear or plain moonshine
- 3 cups watermelon, diced
Watermelon Lime Cocktail
- 3 oz Watermelon Lime Moonshine
- 3 oz limeade
- 3 oz lemon lime soda
- Crushed ice
- Lime slices, for garnish
Instructions
Lime Simple Syrup
- Add the water, lime juice, and sugar into a saucepan over medium heat.
- Dissolve sugar until a syrup liquid forms. Cool.
Watermelon Lime Moonshine
- Place watermelon cubes in a large bowl. Use a fork or the back of a wooden spoon to smash, or muddle, the watermelon.
- Add Lime Simple Syrup and moonshine into the bowl. Stir together until fully combined.
- Separate into individual 8-ounce mason jars, and seal. Store in pantry, or other location that remains at room temperature with no access to direct sunlight.
Watermelon Lime Cocktail
- Combine limeade, lemon lime soda, Watermelon Lime Moonshine and crushed ice in a glass.
- Stir to combine. Add lime slices for garnish. Cheers!
Notes
Like all moonshines, the longer it sits, the better it gets. You can taste it immediately once the syrup is chilled, or you can store it for a stronger watermelon lime flavor.
