Reba McEntire Covers Taylor Swift in 'Best Time Ever' Western Skit

Reba McEntire put a new spin on a Taylor Swift hit during her appearance on NBC's Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris.

The new primetime show revisits the classic variety show format in a live broadcast that was popular back in the 1960s and 70s. Each episode features a special guest announcer who gets to take the spotlight during the show's finale.

McEntire, who filled the role for this week's episode, performed a western-themed version of Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble" during the final segment, nicknamed the "End of the Show Show."

As Reba sings, mayhem is unleashed around her as show regulars Neil Patrick Harris and Nicole Scherzinger begin a humorous ballroom brawl. Like the seasoned entertainer she is, McEntire takes things into her own hands by "punching" out Harris and pulling the curtain on the episode.

The cheesy humor, combined with the strangely-arranged version of Swift' pop track, seems a little much at times. Still, there are few artists who are able to keep viewers as intrigued and interested in the sometimes cringe-worthy scenes.

When she's not singing in fake saloons, McEntire is preparing to return to her residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace next year with longtime friends Brooks and Dunn.
