Pistol Annies fans received quite the surprise this past weekend with not one, but two impromptu performances from the trio.
The first overdue reunion took place during Miranda Lambert's Keeper of the Flame concert this past Friday, July 15 at the Walmart Arkansas Music Pavillion.
In true Pistol Annies fashion, Lambert, Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley belted out flawless harmonies on "Hell On Heels" and "Takin' Pills." The surprise reunion was full of boot stomping and sultry dance moves.
The group followed up their Rogers, Arkansas performance with a special stint in Kansas City. They took the stage during Lambert's opening set during Kenny Chesney's Spread the Love tour stop.
The trio hasn't released new music together since their 2013 sophomore album, Annie Up. The group's debut LP sold more than 80,000 copies within the first week.
Though no official group reunion looks to be in the works, all members have been busy with solo projects. Ashley Monroe released Like A Rose on Warner Nasvhille in 2013, and the critically acclaimed LP The Blade in 2015. In 2014, Angaleena Pressley released her debut full-length album, American Middle Class. Lambert's new single, "Vice," is set to hit country radio stations on July 18.
