Watch Little Big Town and Miranda Lambert Sing 'Lean On Me' During the Bandwagon Tour

When Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town announced the co-headlining Bandwagon Tour together, just about everybody knew there would be some sort of on-stage collaboration. It turns out the Grammy-winning artists had lots in mind, including this excellent cover of the Bill Withers classic, "Lean On Me."

In this video from a front-row fan, Little Big Town and Miranda Lambert sing the song a cappella with help from the band. And the Charlotte, N.C. crowd absolutely ate it up.

During the joint set, Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town also joined each other on a myriad of other tunes. During her normally solo, chill-inducing performance of "Tin Man," Little Big Town came in with "ooh's" at the end. That led to tons of collaboration and covers, including Destiney's Child and Prince.

Lambert covered most of her hit singles and played songs from most of her albums, with a heavy focus on Revolution, Platinum and The Weight Of These Wings. The country star also joined Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman for a rousing rendition of "Goodbye Earl."

In other words, The Bandwagon Tour isn't just two great country music artists co-headlining. It's two great artists performing together in a once-in-a-lifetime kind of way. Opening acts for the tour include Tenille Townes and Turnpike Troubadours, as well as Steel Woods and an appearance by Nashville songwriter Natalie Hemby.

The Thursday night Charlotte performance was the tour's first stop. With just over a dozen more dates across the United States, it's not a particularly robust run. But it's clear the artists are making it special for the fans who get a chance to see it.
