Jason Isbell paid tribute to southern rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd with a special live performance of their track, "I Know A Little."

In the video, Isbell put his own twist on the classic track by adding incredible gospel-inspired harmonies and an energetic horn section. The performance was held at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta in November, during a marathon show that also featured performances by Trace Adkins, Alabama and Blackberry Smoke. Each unique rendition was recorded for One More for the Fans, a live Lynyrd Skynyrd album that will be released later this month. Isbell covered "I Know A Little," which was featured on Skynyrd's 1977 album, Street Survivors. It was written by Steve Gaines, one of the original band members who died just three days after the album was released.

"Jason has great respect for the legacy of southern rock," Gary Rossington, the last surviving member of Lynyrd Skynyrd's original lineup, told Rolling Stone Country. "And we loved that he picked our song 'I Know A Little' to perform.  His guitar solos were spot on -- he's a great player."

Jason Isbell and Lynyrd Skynyrd fans can purchase One More for the Fans starting on July 24, when it will be released as a double-disc CD/DVD package.
