There's just something classic about the theme song from the 90's sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. It's one of those songs that gets stuck in your head and doesn't ever leave, even years after you first heard it. During this year's CMT Music Awards, Mashable decided to challenge some of country music's biggest stars with the task of performing their own rendition of the well-known Will Smith rap.
So who failed and who flourished? Hunter Hayes displayed some impressive beat-boxing skills, but his winning qualities didn't quite carry over into the rap. Luke Bryan stumbled a little on the words, which he jokingly blamed on the alcohol. Frankie Ballard powered through the rap like a champ, along with obvious shoo-ins Florida Georgia Line. When it came down to it, Carrie Underwood came out as the obvious champion of the challenge after singing the entire rap from memory. After a night where Underwood left with the most trophies in hand, it only makes sense that she would come away as a winner of this contest, too.
Although there's no trophy or crown for Underwood's achievement, her lighthearted performance is good enough gift on its own. Watch the video above and decide for yourself who the true Fresh Prince of Bel-Air rap expert is.
