Kadie Lynn is back at it again. The 12-year-old Texan from Dallas first amazed the America's Got Talent crowd with her cover of a Merle Haggard classic, "Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Star." Her classic country twang and yodel complemented by a deceptively full voice won over the judges.
Lynn advanced through the show up to the point where she got to perform in front of one of her favorite singers, Reba McEntire. It's a ton of pressure, but Lynn stepped up big time to meet the moment. She sang Miranda Lambert's monstrously successful song, "Mama's Broken Heart."
After the performance, the infamous Simon Cowell told Lynn that though only seven out of 20 spots remained, he would fight for the young singer. McEntire agreed. She gave Lynn perhaps her best compliment, too. McEntire told Lynn, "You have a stage presence that I didn't find until I was in my 20s."
McEntire knows what it's like to be in the spotlight as a young girl. She grew up playing rodeos and fairs. And fortunately for Lynn, that presence despite her age got her through to the next round.
As America's Got Talent advances, keep an eye on young Kadie Lynn to keep it country.
