Security footage released by both the bakery and police shows the suspect carrying a beer keg in front of the storefront shortly after midnight on Monday.
The man, seen wearing a green t-shirt, khaki pants, dark sneakers, and a crew cut hairstyle, appeared to pause outside the business before picking up the keg and hurling it through the glass window.
Video then shows the suspect calmly walking away as shattered glass covered the sidewalk outside the bakery.
Co-owner Sophie LaMontagne later revealed that one of the bakery's staff members was inside the store when the attack happened.
"One of our bakers called us immediately after it happened," LaMontagne told PEOPLE. "She was terrified when it happened."
"This is heavy glass. So she was terrified. We were just so thankful that nobody was hurt in this incident."
"It's just very unnerving and shocking as a business owner, and our staff is very shaken up."
