2. Fort Lonesome in Austin, Texas
Unlike the other shops on the list, Fort Lonesome doesn't have a brick and mortar store. The company, which does custom chain stitching in the style of Nudie Cohn and Manuel Cuevas, takes orders by appointment. The result is a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art that will make you feel like a long lost member of Buck Owens' Buckaroos.

1. Manuel Couture in Nashville, Tenn.
When you think country fashion, you should think Manuel. The iconic designer has dressed everyone from Elvis to Dwight Yoakam. He created Gram Parsons' iconic marijuana-leaf Nudie suit. Oh yeah, and he's responsible for making Johnny Cash the Man in Black.
Manuel operates out of his shop in downtown Nashville, where you can browse to-die-for rhinestone embellished jackets, pearl snaps and suits and get fitted for your own dazzling ensemble.
