It starts off innocently enough. A burger here, some fried food there. A beer after work, then maybe some junk food on occasion.
Then you start to wonder why you can't see your feet anymore and why you get out of breath walking up a flight of stairs.
Perhaps you might tell yourself, "I don't look good naked anymore."
If so, you're not alone. That's the sentiment expressed by the Snake Oil Willie Band in the video for their YouTube hit "I Don't Look Good Naked Anymore".
Currently sitting at more than seven million views, the video is a humorous look at what happens when one man slowly accumulates the pounds over the years, a fact of life that many can relate to.
The Snake Oil Willie Band covers all aspects of this experience, from keeping your shirt on while swimming to turning the lights off during a roll in the hay.
There's even a sing-along with fans in the chorus: "I'm a deep-fried, double-wide version of the man I was before."
But more than anything, this song is a reaffirmation that sometimes you don't look good naked, and that's OK. Everyone in the video seems to be enjoying themselves, which is all that counts.
The Snake Oil Willie Band is currently on tour, if you want to see them in person.
