On Monday, February 10, a private jet owned by Motley Crue's frontman Vince Neil crashed into another plane. This resulted in the death of the plane's pilot and Neil's girlfriend getting injured. Shortly after the initial reports, it was confirmed that Vince Neil was not on the plane. Neil has since addressed the incident via Motley Crue's social media.

In a statement released by the band, Neil's representative Worrick Robinson IV, gave details surrounding the incident. At the end of the statement, Robinson communicated Neil's sentiments toward the tragic accident.
"Mr. Neil's thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all first responders assisting today," Robinson wrote in the statement. "More specific details regarding the collision are not available as this is a rapidly evolving situation and there is an ongoing investigation."
Robinson also detailed the events that took place on Monday afternoon. According to him, while Neil's Learjet plane attempted to land at Scottsdale Airport, it veered from the runway due to a then-unknown reason. This resulted in it colliding with another parked plane. Vince's plane's pilot died and Neil's girlfriend was injured, suffering five broken ribs, according to the Daily Mail.
Cause Of The Accident Revealed
The cause of the accident was later revealed by city officials. According to them, Vince's plane suffered a landing gear malfunction. Especially, "the Lerjet's left main landing gear failed upon landing." This resulted in the plane veering from the runway and crashing into the parked plane.
Thankfully, Scottsdale Fire Station 609 personnel and airport staff quickly responded to the incident, arriving at the scene a minute after the collision took place. First responders pronounced the pilot dead at the scene, and three others were reported to have suffered injuries. Moreover, another individual refused medical treatment, according to city officials.
"I am extremely grateful to the first responders and airport operations staff on the scene today for their swift action and service," Gary P. Mascaro, Scottsdale Aviation Director, said in the statement. "We offer our deepest condolences to those affected by this tragedy."
The incident remains under investigation and it was stated at the time that Scottsdale Airport would remain closed.
