Vince Gill Postpones Shows Due to Illness

Vince Gill has postponed a few of his upcoming shows due to being hospitalized with a kidney stone. The singer had to miss the CMA Awards because of the health issue.

Gill postponed his Thursday (Nov. 15) show at the Alabama Theater in Birmingham, Ala. and his show at the Stifel Theater in St. Louis that was originally set for this evening (Nov. 16).

The next show listed on Gill's official website is Nov. 28 at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. The show will kick off his Christmas at the Ryman residency with wife Amy Grant. The couple will be joined by Rodney Crowell. The shows will run for 12 nights, ending on Dec. 23.

Gill was scheduled to perform with Ricky Skaggs on the 52nd annual CMA Awards but had to miss the awards due to the hospitalization. Keith Urban and Brothers Osborne's John Osborne filled in for the country star.
