One of Mitch McConnell's Washington, D.C., neighbors told the outlet that on the morning of June 14, there was a "commotion outside," in the words of CNN, on that street. "...[T]wo ambulances a fire truck and Capitol Police officers [were] blocking the entire street.

What the outlet refers to as "an EMS audio recording" seemed to show that emergency personnel went to McConnell's "home for an 'unconscious' person for a 'cardiac arrest,' and someone is heard saying, 'CPR in progress.'"

What the Video Reportedly Showed

According to CNN's account, video shot by the neighbor depicts someone being wheeled out to an ambulance on a stretcher. The person's face was allegedly not visible in the footage. However, another spectator on the scene supposedly glimpsed the person's face and identified the individual as Mitch McConnell.

The neighbor reportedly said this about seeing McConnell that day. "[McConnell's]'s in a stretcher, and he's in some sort like orange foam looking blanket type thing." His feet were allegedly bare and "not moving." Furthermore, the neighbor added, "One of my neighbors is like, 'Oh yeah, it's Mitch, I saw his face.'"

The neighbor also mentioned,to CNN, "In a situation where perhaps time is of the essence, there seems to be a little bit more urgency, but there was no urgency here."

McConnell's Condition and the Reason for His Long Hospitalization Have Not Been Made Public

Questions are swirling about Mitch McConnell's health. Practically nothing has been publicly disclosed by his staff, causing many to wonder and speculate. At the time, per CNN, McConnell's "spokesperson only said that McConnell was 'admitted to the hospital this morning' and was 'receiving excellent care.'" Those who claim to have spoken to the senator have been tight-lipped about him as well.

Per the New York Post, a statement on July 2 from a spokesperson said that McConnell "continues to improve."
