The Burney Sisters aren't even old enough to drive their tour van, but they have the talent and wisdom of artists three times their age. Sisters Olivia and Emma are 13 and 11, respectively, and have already opened for Wynonna and played high profile music festivals.
In September, the duo, which is based out of Columbia, Mo., released their EP Where We Stand, a collection of folk-pop tunes that recall fellow dynamic familial bands like First Aid Kit, the Avett Brothers and the Carter Family.
The video for title track "Where We Stand," which Wide Open Country is premiering today, showcases the sibling duo's immense talent and dedicated fanbase. The clip was directed by Karl Bussen.
Emma Burney says the video is particularly meaningful to her because it features the duo's support system.
"The reason this video means so much to me is because we had so many of our friends and family there to support us while filming," Emma Burney says. "We got to have another local band that was in the video driving the busses. They are also very close friends of ours."
