32-year-old Bank of America executive was named amongst the victims of a heartbreaking stabbing attack at Times Square. As reported by The Sun, the tragic incident happened on Monday, August 31.
She was named as Erin Piacenti of Chester, New Jersey. Sources explained that she had worked as the Vice President of Business Selection and Conflicts at the company.
The Bank of America posted a touching tribute following their loss. "We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our college," they wrote. "She was a valued teammate who will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to her family and all of her loved ones."
Piacenti's LinkedIn profile showed that she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016, as well as the Fordham Law School in 2021. Tragically, she had also just celebrated her second wedding anniversary prior to the chilling Times Square attack.

There Were Others Injured in the Times Square Attack
Although Piacenti was the only one who tragically died from the attack at Times Square, she wasn't the only victim.
The attacker, who was identified as 49-year-old Pamela Cisneros, had also lunged at an elderly man. She had stabbed both people in the chest. The elderly man was reported to have survived.
Prior to the attack, she reportedly threatened tourists and was in an "emotionally disturbed" state. Even when confronted by police, she had refused to drop her weapons. They were later seen to be two kitchen knives.
The suspect was also reported to have a "documented mental health history with the NYPD... With one incident in 2018 and one in 2019."
The New York Police Department Commissioner, Jessica Tisch, described the attack itself. Per the BBC, she said, "A witness at the scene told investigators that he observed the suspect remove two knives from a red Target bag before approaching the first victim."
When the police went to chase after her, following the stabbing, "she told the officers 'I'm not dropping anything, I'd rather kill both of you.' She repeated 'I will kill you,'".
