USPS Worker Shot And Killed By Co-Worker: Alleged Gunman's Mugshot Revealed

A brutal shooting rocked a USPS facility in Missouri City, Texas in which an employee shot and killed a co-worker while at work. His mugshot has finally been revealed.

At around 10 pm the Missouri Police Department along with the USPSIS responded to reports of an active shooter in the Missouri City facility. On arrival, it was immediately clear that there had been a fatal shooting. One UPSP employee had shot another directly in the back of the head, killing him in his workplace.

Derrick Deon Lott, 24, was arrested on the scene for the murder of Kevin J. Hines. Nobody else was shot in the USPS facility. Although the motive for the attack is still unclear, it seems remarkably pre-meditated. The kill was targeted, and nobody else was in danger.

Emergency services were quick to respond to the gunman's attack. A report from the scene notes that after the event, a "video from the scene shows dozens of workers outside the facility with a heavy police presence at the scene." Employees were kept clear until the situation was under control.

USPS Gunman On Trial For Single Shot Execution

Currently, Derrick Deon Lott Jr. is being held on a murder charge in Fort Bend County Jail. His bond has been set at a staggering $2 million. I don't expect his USPS wage will quite stretch to that. He will have his hearing later, and hopefully motives will be revealed. However, I think this will be an open-and-shut case. There seems little doubt as to who shot the USPS employee in the head.

This murder in the USPS Missouri facility comes amid another attack by USPS co-workers. Just days before, a brutal stabbing happened at a Staten Island apartment. However, in this case, there was no gunshot and instead a stabbing of a USPS employee.

Their coworker attacked them with a knife in their own home. The 25-year-old woman was then left to make her way to her neighbor's door, leaving a trail of blood. She was taken to hospital and is now in stable condition. However, the USPS co-worker shot off and is currently on the run.
