This brazen incident occurred on Saturday, April 12, according to the affidavit obtained by ClickOrlando. Someone notified Melbourne Police of a USPS mail truck driving in the wrong lane on South Harbor City Boulevard. On top of that, Dye was throwing plastic cups out of the vehicle while driving.

Once they arrived, they spotted the truck making a U-turn heading east. They said it "swerved in and out of its lane" while driving along the opposite lane. After pulling her over, Dye allegedly seemed "confused and disoriented."

After conducting field sobriety tests on Dye, she was clearly "indicative of someone under the influence," as the affidavit said. Dye soon admitted to being invited into a home she was delivering to that was holding a party.

She then said she had downed two shots of vodka before heading back on her delivery route. This was soon before the police pulled her over.

When the officers asked about the cup situation, Dye claimed it was just water she swished in her mouth. She allegedly did this so as not to smell like alcohol. They also asked her why she was swerving in and out of traffic, to which she said she had fallen asleep at the wheel.

According to the witnesses who tipped the police off about the vehicle, they noticed that Dye nearly crashed into multiple vehicles. Luckily, no accident happened, and the cops caught Dye before she could hurt anybody.

Fox 51 caught video footage of the mail truck driving on the wrong side. You can see the truck make an illegal turn while the driver behind the footage was heading through a green light. Any slight timing change could've ended in a serious accident.

Another video clip shows the driver swerving between lanes. "She proceeded to drive in zig-zags all the way down the road until she got to the stop sign where she proceeded to kick a solo cup out of the side of the mail truck," the witness behind the footage said. "My son was in the car and she almost hit us."
