Allan Nascimento has sadly passed away at the age of 34. The UFC announced the fighter's death on Monday, August 3.

"This morning, Monday, August 3rd, our beloved fighter and exemplary flyweight, Allan Nascimento, was found unresponsive after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep," the UFC wrote in a statement, via The New York Post. "Despite the efforts of the responding medical team, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Allan's family, friends, teammates, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time."
Nascimento's last fight came just weeks ago. He fought on the June 20 UFC Fight Night card, facing Mitch Raposo. Nascimento lost that bout by split decision. Heading into the contest, Nascimento was riding a four-fight win streak.
Following the loss, Nascimento's record stood at 22 wins and seven losses throughout his MMA career, with four wins and two losses in the UFC.
"The Brazilian fighter rose to prominence on "Dana White's Contender Series," a show in which the UFC president scouts potential talent, losing in a split decision to Raulian Paiva in 2018," The New York Post reports.
Nascimento's death has undoubtedly come as a shock to the MMA world.
Multiple UFC Stars Pay Tribute to Allan Nascimento
Upon learning of Nascimento's passing, multiple UFC stars paid tribute via social media. Charles Oliveira, a former UFC Lightweight Champion and recently crowned UFC BMF Champion, was among the first to pay tribute.
"Today I lost a brother that the fight game gave me," Oliveira wrote across a string of Instagram stories. "Thank you for always being by my side, for sharing the mats and the corner. I have nothing but gratitude for having you with me — in training, in the corner, and just hanging out. I love you, man; you're a legend. My brother, I can't even believe it; you will be deeply missed."
Fellow UFC lightweight, Elves Brener also posted to social media following the news.
"Thank you for the wonderful journey, brother," he wrote, via The BBC. "You were always an incredible person, and today is an extremely sad day for all of us at Chute Boxe. I will carry you in my heart forever, champion."
Nascimento trained at the popular Brazilian gym, Chute Boxe.
There's currently no further information regarding Nascimento's passing.
