Two single-engine planes have had a mid-air collision in Arizona, with multiple dead, according to NBC News. Per the outlet, "A Lancair 360 MK II and a Cessna 172S collided at the Marana Regional Airport just before 8:30 a.m. local time, the Federal Aviation Administration said." Marana Regional Airport where the incident took place reportedly has no air traffic control tower. Each plane had a air of passengers.

Avra Valley Rd. in reference to an aircraft collision. There has been at least 1 confirmed deceased individual. Details are limited at this time. Media staging will be in the large dirt parking lot outside of the Marana Regional Airport. FAA and NTSB will be respond."
The outlet quoted a statement from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) about the crash. "Based on preliminary information, the 'aircraft collided while upwind of runway 12,' NTSB said in a statement. The Cessna 'landed uneventfully' while the Lancair 'impacted terrain near runway 3 and a post-impact fire ensued.'"
