Qaadir and Naazir Lewis were 19-year-old twin brothers. The pair were from Lawrenceville, Georgia. They went missing on March 7 after they missed their 7 am flight to Boston. The NY Post shares that the twins were on their way to Boston to visit some friends, but they never made it.

Instead, a hiker found their dead bodies the next day "at the summit of Bell Mountain near the North Carolina border." Both boys were found with gunshot wounds, and their plane tickets were still in their wallets. At this time, the Georgia Bureau of Investigations is treating the case as a murder-suicide. However, the boys' family has poked several holes in that line of thinking.

Family Speaks Against Murder-Suicide Claim

Although the Bureau of Investigations has its own line of thinking, Qaadir, and Naazir's family do not agree with it. The boy's uncle, Rahim Brawner spoke out against the claims. "They're very protective of each other," he claimed. "I couldn't imagine them hurting each other." Additionally, he mentioned that he had never even seen the boys fistfight one another before.

Furthermore, the twins' aunt argued that the boys had a "huge support system." So, if there had been any indication of suicide attempts or thoughts, someone would have noticed signs and offered help. Additionally, their aunt stated, "We know them. They wouldn't do anything like this. No. Something happened in those mountains, and we want answers."

Furthermore, the family shared how the boys were not known to hike. So what would have possessed them to end up in the mountains? Additionally, the twins had dreams of "starting their very own clothing line" in the future, so why would they remove themselves from the world when they had big dreams?

While authorities do not have all of the answers regarding the twins that were found murdered in the Georgia woods, they are hopeful that further forensic testing will help determine an official cause of death.
