Everyone wants to fit in with their friends. Whether it's simple things like getting into a band everyone but you loves, or something a little more serious, one thing is true - people just want to be liked.
And that apparently applies, even when things get a little legally questionable. Even if you're a legendary TV show host.
As reported by People, Kelly Ripa got candid about her brief life of crime. In the August 10 episode of the Live With Kelly and Mark show, she explained alongside her husband the type of people her friends were.
"We are friends with the biggest thieves," Mark joked. They had been talking at a dinner party with their group of friends when the topic of stealing had come up.
Ripa went on to explain the hilarious types of things they'd stolen. And, be honest - you're likely to have to. "Some people were like, 'Oh, in fifth grade, I stole a piece of Bazooka bubble gum from the convenience store.' And then some people were like, 'I stole herbs from the grocery store on the way over here.'"
She considered them "established people" in the world of theft.

The TV Show Host Had Never Stolen a Thing
But, Ripa had a pretty hilarious confession - "I had never stole anything," she exclaimed. "And so then, people made fun of me at the table. I was shamed for never having stolen anything."
We all know what that feels like. So, naturally, she had to quote-on-quote "redeem" herself. What did that entail, you ask? Well, she was going on a boat ride with Consuelos, and they wanted a snack.
And what's better than some tomato and mozzarella sandwiches? Well, tomato and mozzarella sandwiches with basil, of course - but, they didn't have any. Do you know who did?
The herb garden at the marina! She admitted the dastardly crime she committed... "I broke off three pieces of basil." Of course, she just had to brag to her group chat too, "I took a picture and I sent it off... 'There! I stole some basil from the marina herb garden.'"
