TV Host Kicks Drone Into Model’s Face Then Blames His Shoes

During a live broadcast, the host of a comedy show kicked a production drone, which flew into a model’s face.

Television cameras recently captured a bizarre and baffling scene. During a live broadcast, the host of a comedy show kicked a production drone. It then flew into a model's face.

But the personality didn't take responsibility for the incident. He blamed his shoes.

The Model Was Hit in the Mouth With the Drone

As the New York Post reports, the incident took place on the Mexican program Es Show on Monday, Oct. 26. Ernesto Chavana kicked the drone, which hit Isabella "La Colombiana" Rojas in the face and bloodied her mouth.

The audience gasped in horror at what had happened. "See what you have done," Chavana told the show's staff. The host then offered an on-air apology of sorts.

"I'm very sorry. I am responsible for what just happened," said Chavana.

He then added, "I feel very ashamed and embarrassed for what I have just done... I kicked this thing they put in front of me... I don't know, maybe it was my new shoes."

Is the Model OK?

The show's crew helped Rojas backstage. The production team plans to cover the model's medical expenses and other damages.

Rojas was a content creator before starring on Es Show. Much like The Tonight Show, the late-night Spanish-language program features games, comedy sketches, music, and celebrity interviews.

The following night on Es Show, Chavana took responsibility for the incident.

"Here I am to face up to it," the host said. "I am not hiding. I am aware of the mistake I made yesterday by kicking a drone during a situation that came up on the program. I offered apologies to Isabella on air, and I took full responsibility for the event."

Earlier this year, another moment involving a kick took place on live television. But this time around, a horse did the kicking.

A stable worker was on the business end of a racehorse's hooves during a live television broadcast. Emergency staff rushed to help her, and she suffered only minor injuries.
