Julie Nelson, a long-time TV anchor, is stepping away from her broadcasting role following a recent boating accident. Both Julie and her husband were aboard the boat at the time of the incident.

"Hi, I have some personal news to share ... my husband and I were involved in a one-boat accident over the weekend," Julit posted to Facebook on June 18. "We were both treated for non-life threatening injuries, so I will be off the air while I take some time to heal and recover. I'm grateful for the outpouring of love and support that's been shown to me and my family."
Julie, who works for KARE-TV, is the co-anchor of the 5, 6 and 10 PM news broadcasts. She hasn't provided any details regarding when she plans to return to the airwaves.
The boat crash clearly had an impact on Julie and her husband. After all, it's rare someone takes a sabbatical from a job they likely fought tooth and nail to get in the first place. Nevertheless, health, both mental and physical, has to be a person's top priority.
