Trump joked that he wants to seize power in Israel.

The 79-year-old politician spoke to the press at Joint Base Andrews on Wednesday ahead of his departure for Connecticut for a Coast Guard graduation ceremony. While speaking to reporters, Trump boasted about his own approval ratings in Israel.

"I'm right now at 99 percent in Israel," he said. "I could run for Prime Minister. So, maybe after I do this, I'll go to Israel. Run for Prime Minister. I had a poll this morning. I'm 99 percent, so that's good."

It's unclear which poll Trump referenced at Joint Base Andrews, but the figure would be a noticeable improvement from his domestic approval rating.

Trump's presidential approval rating fell to nearly its lowest level ?since he returned to the White House, including a dip in support among Republicans, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll.

The four-day poll, which ?closed on Monday, revealed 35 percent of the country approved of Trump's job performance. This was down a percentage point from a Reuters/Ipsos poll earlier this month.

The war in Iran and inflated gas prices are viewed as some of the biggest contributors to the dropoff. Despite his dwindling support in America, Trump believes he could have a fruitful campaign in Israel.
