Eric Dane has sadly passed away at the age of 53. The X-Men and Grey's Anatomy actor was battling with ALS. Following his death, multiple members of Hollywood have posted tributes to their late friend and colleague.
Former co-star Nina Dobrev released a statement on her Instagram story. Dobrev is best known for her role in Vampire Diaries, while also starring in Redeeming Love with Dane in 2022.
"Heartbroken to hear about the passing of Eric," Dobrev wrote. "He was warm, generous, prepared, and so passionate about what he did. He led with kindness and made everyone on our set feel seen. ALS is a cruel and unforgiving disease. May his memory inspire more research, awareness, and progress toward a cure. He will be deeply missed. Sending love and heartfelt condolences to his family."
Ashton Kutcher also took to social media to share his goodbyes, with a short post on X.
"The Franklin strip fanatics fantasy football league will miss Mr. Eric Dane,"
Popular comedian Paul Walter Hauser also shared a goodbye message for Dane via his Instagram account.
"We tried to book gigs, we tried to laugh at the pain and we tried to stay sober. I'm glad we got to play together in Americana," Walter Hauser wrote. "I love you, man. I wish we had more time. Enjoy the arms of Father God. I'll see you again."
Countless more tributes have flooded in throughout the day, illustrating how loved, respected and talented Dane was in his craft.
Multiple TV Networks Have Also Paid Tribute to Eric Dane
Tributes for Dane haven't been confined to former co-stars or friends, either. Some of the biggest TV networks in the world have also posted messages of love and support following his passing.
HBO shared its condolences to Dane's family, along with a touching message, on its Instagram page.
"We are deeply saddened by the news of Eric Dane's passing," the statement reads. "He was incredibly talented and HBO was fortunate to have worked with him on three seasons of Euphoria. Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time."
While Warner Bros Entertainment issued a three-word statement via X.
"Remembering Eric Dane," it read.
There is currently no information regarding Dane's funeral, nor should we expect it to become public. Instead, the ceremony will likely be kept private for just family and close friends.
