See Trace Adkins Turn 'Breaking Bad' Theme into a Country Song on 'Fallon'

After reading a fan request for a rendition of the Breaking Bad theme song with lyrics, The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon brought out country music star Trace Adkins on Tuesday (Oct. 8) to lead a six-piece choir of Walter White look-alikes through a tuneful breakdown of the series' premise.

Adkins' lyrics about porkpie hats, high school teachers gone bad and cooking meth brought some levity to a dark series, complete with a comedically-placed spoiler about White's fate.

The skit continues a trend of surprise musical guests on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon playing along with jokes from the audience suggestion box or Fallon's imagination. Past segments included Fallon's friend and Adkins' recent collaborator on "Hell Right," Blake Shelton.

Adkins' nod to the beloved TV show comes right before the Fri., Oct. 11 debut of the Netflix original film El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie. Series creator Vince Gilligan served as screenwriter, producer and director of the new film, which picks up where the AMC series left off and focuses on Aaron Paul's character Jesse Pinkman.

In other Adkins news, his Don't Stop Tour 2019 continues into the fall and includes a whopping 35 appearances  at Nashville's Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center for this year's The Gift of Christmas With Trace Adkins and Friends.
