The Osceola County Sheriff's Office shared a press conference on Friday to discuss details of the horrific beating. Piero Estefano But-Castillo, 25, from Chile, beat Robert Krusinowski, 55, to death with a fire extinguisher in a Quality Inn in Kissimmee, Florida. It's unknown exactly where Krusinowski hails from, although the name has Polish lineage.

Authorities reported that there is video footage of the attack, and that But-Castillo has been arrested without bond for murder.

Talking of the event, Sheriff Marcus Lopez said that both But-Castillo and Krusinowski were residing at the motel on Entry Point Boulevard. But-Castillo had been evicted from the motel, and became enraged. It seems Krusinowski intended to deescalate the situation, resulting in him being beat to death.

Lopez said, "In an effort to calm him down, our victim — Mr. Robert Krusinowski, a 55-year-old man — was unarmed, just trying to de-escalate the situation. However, our suspect it angered him, and he just beat him to death. It was a brutal beating with a fire extinguisher."

"These savage attacks aren't going to go unpunished here," the sheriff promised.

Sheriff Warns Against Going Up Against Enraged People

According to Fox35, But-Castillo was visiting the US on a 90-day tourist visa.

Authorities received the call around 4 pm from others at the scene witnessing the brutal attack. When police arrived, they found But-Castillo still assaulting the victim. Despite their efforts, Krusinowski died from his grievous injuries. He suffered particularly from head trauma, the outlet reported.

Krusinowski was described as a long-time resident of the motel. Apparently, he frequently helped with maintenance tasks. It seems he only wanted to help out some more, and paid the price.

The sheriff warned others against getting involved with unhinged individuals. "Let us take this into our hands. It's better that you don't get involved. You don't know who you're dealing with and people get angry, lose their tempers — you don't know if they're psychotic or on drugs," he said.

Caution is paramount when someone becomes publicly angry. Most of the time, it isn't worth you putting yourself in jeopardy.
