Clarkson, who is now in remission, shared the adjustments he's made during a conversation with The Sunday Times.
"I really like seeing my grandchildren," Clarkson said. "I want to watch them grow up, and I drive much more slowly. I'm a bit of a dawdler. I go for walks a lot. I have vegetarian food."
The Top Gear and Clarkson's Farm star revealed his diagnosis during season five of Clarkson's Farm. He later admitted that he went public due to his treatment meaning he would miss significant recording time.
"It was an aggressive type of cancer,' Clarkson told The Sunday Times. 'It could have spread, it could have gone into the pancreas... and that would have been trouble."
Despite the health battles he's faced, Clarkson appears to be in good spirits. He's back to work, filming season 6 of Clarkson's Farm, and appears to be enjoying life. After all, Clarkson is still young (66 years old) and has a lot to look forward to and experience.
Nevertheless, he will likely continue receiving regular check-ups to ensure he remains cancer-free.
Jeremy Clarkson Urges Fans To Get Checked
Clarkson credits an early diagnosis for his ability to beat his cancer. As such, he's urged his fans to ensure they get regular check-ups.
"This is why I have to say to everybody who's reading this, please, please, go and get checked," Clarkson said, via The Daily Mail. "It's not uncomfortable, it's not undignified. And it's a no-brainer. I did, and that's why I'm sitting here talking to you."
His own cancer diagnosis came following a routine medical check in 2025.
"A blood test showed unusually high prostate-specific antigen levels, leading to scans and a biopsy," The Daily Mail reports. "The treatment involved high-intensity focused ultrasound, zapping the affected area without damaging surrounding tissue. It avoids side effects such as erectile dysfunction and incontinence."
Hopefully, Clarkson's willingness to be open with his fans, both about his treatment and how his diagnosis came to be, will encourage others to get their checks done, too. After all, catching it early drastically increases the odds of beating it.
