Tom Brady has often been outspoken regarding his thoughts on professional wrestling. However, on Saturday, July 18, during an appearance at Fanatics Fest in New York City, he took things to a whole new level.

During a face-off with WWE star Logan Paul, Brady went nose-to-nose with the influencer-turned-wrestler. The duo seemed to be having an animated conversation, with both going back and forth while Karl-Anthony Towns of the New York Knicks looked on.
Then suddenly, almost out of nowhere, Brady took his hand out of his pocket and introduced it to the side of Paul's head. Security quickly stepped in to remove Brady from the situation before Towns go in front of Paul.
As with anything related to the WWE, there's no telling whether this was real or part of a future storyline. Since Endeavor's takeover, the WWE has increasingly leaned into the celebrity aspect of professional wrestling, splitting opinion in the process.
When it comes to the North American fanbase, celebrity names don't come much bigger than Brady. The idea of seeing the NFL legend stepping inside a wrestling ring is the sort of thing that would draw millions of viewers. Potentially having that match against Paul, who many seem to dislike, would be enough to send the event into hyperdrive.

If Brady and the WWE are preparing to have him compete in a match, then they've been playing the long game. In March of this year, Brady ruffled some WWE stars' feathers when he called professional wrestling "cute."
"All their stuff is so cute and scripted, and they know what's going on," Brady said. "In football, you don't know. So, they wouldn't get near me. Plus, if I had a good offensive line, they would punch those guys right in the throat, and they'd be probably be crying. There's no fake BS we do in American Football. For those guys, it would be a whole different story for them."
Now, Brady may have to put his money where his mouth is. Unfortunately for him, he might find out just how cute wrestling actually is, especially when he doesn't have linebackers out there to protect him.
