Toby Keith, Lee Greenwood to Perform at Trump Inauguration Celebration

Toby Keith and Lee Greenwood have been added to the list of performers set for this week's Presidential Inauguration celebrations.

Following much hullabaloo made about the Trump camp's inability to secure performers, Keith and Greenwood join a growing lineup. The two country stars join fellow performers 3 Doors Down, Rascal Flatts' Gary LeVox, Big and Rich and Cowboy Troy.

Neither Keith nor Greenwood are strangers to politics and presidential events. Keith most notably wrote "Courtesy Of The Red, White, and Blue" shortly after the events of Sept. 11, 2001. He has also performed at events for former President George W. Bush and exiting President Barack Obama.

"I don't apologize for performing for our country or military," Keith recently told Entertainment Weekly. "I performed at events for previous presidents [George W.] Bush and [Barack] Obama and over 200 shows in Iraq and Afghanistan for the USO."

Meanwhile, Greenwood previously performed at events for Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush. In fact, Greenwood has even performed his track "God Bless the U.S.A." in front of five sitting presidents (Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Reagan, and George H.W. Bush) at one time.

In a press release, Greenwood said he was "honored to be a part of history again" and to sing for President-elect Trump. "This is a time to overcome challenges in our country and band together," he shared. "My wife Kim and I are looking forward to the inauguration ceremonies."

Described as an "inaugural of, by, and for the people" by the Inaugural Committee, the 58th Inaugural will take place Saturday, Jan. 20. The Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration, featuring 3 Doors Down, Keith and Greenwood, will take place at the Lincoln Memorial on Friday, Jan. 19.
