It's just one of the many honors that the country music icon has received after his death. That includes his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in October 2024.
And now, two years after his battle with stomach cancer, the "Beer For My Horses" singer is receiving another honor. We have all the details below.
Toby Keith Is Being Inducted Into the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum's Hall of Fame
Keith will be inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers and Hall of Great Westerners at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
This means that Keith will be honored alongside peers George Strait, Vince Gill, and Reba McEntire.
Krystal Keith, the daughter of Toby, shared what it means for her father to receive the award.
"This honor reflects the life my dad lived and the values he stood for," she said. "We're grateful to the National Country & Western Heritage Museum for recognizing his place in the history and how his career served and celebrated the heritage of the country and Western way of life."
Toby Keith Wasn't the Only Country Singer Honored
In addition to Keith, Kenny Rogers, and acclaimed actor Ed Harris will also be inducted.
Rogers is a three-time Grammy Award winner best known for the iconic song "The Gambler." He also starred in a series of television films based on the song. The Country Music Hall of Fame inductee sold more than 100 million records around the world.
Ed Harris has starred in numerous westerns throughout his five-decade career. He wrote, directed, and acted in Appaloosa, a hit film starring Viggo Mortensen. He is also slated to appear in an upcoming Yellowstone spinoff.
"We are thrilled to announce the exceptional inductees and award winners for this year's Western Heritage Awards," said Pat Fitzgerald, president and CEO of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. "Each has helped carry forward the stories, values, and traditions of the American West in meaningful and enduring ways. Their work — whether on screen, in song, in leadership, or through lifelong service — ensures that the spirit of the West continues to inspire future generations."
The awards will be held at the museum on April 11, 2026.
