Miley Cyrus celebrated her 31st birthday on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, and her mom Tish shared a heartwarming message to her daughter on the day of her birth. She shared an Instagram post featuring a photo of herself and Miley posing in a location overlooking the Los Angeles hills. A second photo in the post shows them having fun, as Miley lay on a couch making a funny face.
"It's so hard to believe your [sic] '31' @mileycyrus not sure how time keeps flying by so quickly," writes Tish. "What I do know is I thank God everyday for sending you to be my "little girl"..... I could not love you more and than I do, And the way you love me is beyond words. My mini me, my ride or die...... hope this year is your best yet!!!! So happy to be on this life's journey with you! Happy Birthday 'little' your Momma loves you!"
Tish also shared a group photo from their Thanksgiving celebration. The snap included Miley, Tish's eldest daughter Brandi and members of her husband Dominic Purcell's family.
"So happy to call these beautiful people FAMILY," she wrote alongside the photo with a heart emoji. "Happy Thanksgiving from my family to all of yours."
Cyrus celebrated her birthday with by performing an intimate concert to family and friends. The star shared photos and videos from the night, featuring performances of her own as well as covers to piano accompaniment.
"My birthday gift to MYSELF this year was VERY on brand. I performed for MYSELF and sang my favorite songs including my own," she wrote. "First 'live' performance of Flowers was to an audience full of my friends and family. Taking this song back to the seed... she sprouted sensationally. Grateful for the growth in us both.
