TIME Reveals Donald Trump Inauguration Cover: See the 'Disruption'

TIME Magazine has just revealed the front cover for the president-elect's Inauguration issue.

The official TIME magazine profile on X posted a short video of the front cover with the headline 'TIME's new Inauguration cover: Donald Trump's disruption is back.'

The 14-second clip opens with the President's table in the Whitehouse with several piles of paperwork, a phone, sunglasses, and a glass of water neatly arranged. After a few seconds, Donald Trump slides in from the left with his arm extended, knocking everything flying off the table.

The image slows to a standstill, with Trump sitting in the middle of the cover while everything from the table is in midair. Finally, a caption that reads "He's Back" appears in small white letters on the left of the cover.

Users Sound Off In The TIME Magazine Comments Section

Naturally, the comment section for the short video is on fire, for lack of a better word. The video has been up for almost 24 hours with 1.7 million hits. Among the comments with the highest ratings is an edited picture of the TIME front cover by @FreedomFan88. The user's version of the image is mostly the same, but all of the paperwork and items are missing, making the scene more orderly. @FreedomFan88 posted the image with the simple caption 'Fixed It.'

Another user, @TheBasedMother, writes that the edit is good, but the first one was also fine as "clearing away the trash of the last four years is exactly what we hired him to do."

User @TheTVGrump takes a potshot at a couple of news outlets, saying, "Thoughts are with you, CNN & MSNBC at this difficult time x." There are also some surprisingly measured takes for social media. @ChatterSpout writes, "Love him or hate him, Trump's return makes a new chapter of disruption and change in America. This TIME cover speaks volumes. Ready or not, here we go."

It seems some users actually like the front cover, with many interpreting it in slightly different ways. @Kaideejay simply writes, "I love this - thank you!" Another user, @AckTeacher, says, "I'm not a Trump fan, but that is pretty cool."

The most notable sentiment in the comment section appears to be that the image is a good excuse to throw shade at TIME Magazine itself.
