Tim McGraw to Headline Pre-Game Super Bowl Show in Atlanta

Fans in Atlanta, Ga. for the Super Bowl will have one more reason to celebrate. On Jan. 28, The NFL announced that Tim McGraw will headline the Super Bowl LIII pre-game concert. The country star will help kick off the 2019 Super Bowl festivities at the NFL Tailgate Party on Feb. 3.

McGraw's live performance of his new song "Thought About You" will be broadcast live on CBS as part of the pre-game show Super Bowl Today.

R&B singer Aloe Blacc will also perform during the NFL Tailgate Party. The Super Bowl Today pre-game show will begin at 1 p.m. CT on CBS. The Super Bowl will kick off at 4:30 p.m. CT on CBS.

Other artists performing during the 2019 Super Bowl include Gladys Knight, who'll perform the National Anthem, and Maroon 5, Big Boi and Travis Scott, who will perform during the halftime show.

While little information has been released about McGraw's forthcoming album, he did release two new songs last year: "Neon Church" and "Thought About You." The upcoming project is his first solo album since 2015's Damn Country Music. He released The Rest of Our Life, a duet album with his wife Faith Hill, in 2017.
